Why RT-QuIC?

RT-QuIC is a next-generation assay for CWD detection and has been shown to be more sensitive than conventional tests in multiple studies and able to detect CWD below levels that  pose a risk to deer or elk.

 

CWD can be detected in sample types like urine or feces where the levels are too low for conventional tests.

​

RT-QuIC testing for CWD in deer urine is a peer reviewed and validated method. (Henderson et al 2015, Denkers and Henderson et al 2016)

RT-QuIC tests have been performed in different laboratories with excellent reproducibility and correlation of results.
